Developing a passion for niche research is the number one requirement for the Micro Niche Adsense Method. And you need to keep the passion alive because this method is all about building as many websites as possible, with each one focused around a highly search engine optimized keyword or keyphrase belonging to a tightly focused micro niche.
This is the most important concept you can master. Fail at this, and no amount of expertise of the remaining steps will matter.
There are many ways to find micro niches. Your every day lives alone yield thousands of micro niche discoveries.
For example, you are driving in my car, and you look in my rear view mirror. (Mirror ->Rear View Mirror ->Rear View Mirror Mounts ->) You walk into a drug store, and spot the make up aisle. (Make Up -> Mascara ->Black Mascara ->Thick Brush Black Mascara)
You have to really get creative with this, tunnel down as far as you can up to about 3-4 words. For the sake of this project, we will stick with a keyword or keyphrase of 4 words max. Reason: The next step is finding an exact match domain. You don’t want the domain name of your website to be www.whitemetalrearviewmirrormounts.com … that would be a bit much!
If you have hobbies or interests, those are always a great place to start. I chose my first site on my love for the piano. http://www.BabyGrandPianoDiscounts.com using the keyphrase “Baby Grand Piano”. But because “BabyGrandPiano.com was already taken, I stuck “discounts” at the end.
When you target micro niche keywords and phrases, be sure to target types of products. Your micro niches should be product related so the visitors that land at your site are already in the ‘buying” frame of mind.
Reminder: The more tightly targeted and focused your micro niche is, the better chance your site will be ranked #1 on the first page of Google when someone types in “White Ceramic Plates” or “Long Legal Paper”, or any other keyword or keyphrase you come up with.
Of course you can use a more general niche keyword/phrase such as “weight loss” , but you will be fighting against lots of other sites for that top spot at Google, and chances are, the top sites in that niche will be run by SEO savvy webmasters.
Since this may be your very first site, let’s give it a fighting chance and find something no one else is optimizing for.
Always keep your ears and eyes open no matter where you go. Even getting out of bed in the morning could yield some good ideas. (Bed -> Comforter -> Silk Comforter -> “Tiel Silk Comforter”)
Notice I haven’t mentioned any brand names. Some Internet Marketers use brand names in their domains, but there is always a risk of getting a cease and desist letter from that company telling you to shut down your website or get taken to court. In my opinion, that’s not a very smart choice for those wanting to build a sustainable business model.
So just use general terms for your keywords and phrases.
It may take some time to adapt to scrutinizing every scenario in hopes of finding that next big micro niche keyword, but pretty soon it will be second nature and you’ll be having fun doing it!
